I have heard about NAS devices for years and still have not found one that lives up to its hype.  They are expensive and slow.  How much harder are they to build than regular usb/firwire/esata enclosures that can be gotten for under $20?  One of these days they will get gigabit speed (TRUE GIGABIT, not claimed) and actually have the price point to be worth mentioning.</description>
