    It is a shame it is WAY too expensive to make it worthwhile. There is a 2TB external USB storage device for around the same price floating around and since this thing doesnt come with any storage - OUCH!

    nice idea, but the price should be in the $100-$150 range to make it even remotely seem cost effective.

    People don’t get it. Its not about just raw storage, its about scale, and reliability. Nothing else for the money comes pre-built, and offers redundancy and scale. I have a drobo, and it’s 4×500GB, and I need more space? What am I going to do? I’m going to replace 1 drive with a 1TB, and when drobo tells me its ready, I’ll then replace another with a 1TB.. And I get back 2×500GB drives, which I’ll probably put into a second drobo when I need more space..
