Office 2007 SP1 Now Available for Download
By Michael Santo

As promised, Microsoft has released SP1 for Office 2007 today, available on their Office download site. At the same time, Microsoft has released SP1 for Visio 2007 and Project 2007.
The Office 2007 SP1 link, which was dead until just a few minutes ago, is now live, and is here. As I indicated earlier, for now, due to recent concerns over Automatic Updating, this will be a manual-only install.
While the download is now live, the KB936982, “Description of the 2007 Microsoft Office suite Service Pack 1“ is still not (of course). However, there is a whitepaper here (you’ll need Word 2007 or the Office Compatibility Pack as it’s in .DOCX format, though).
We Say: If you’re an early adopter, start downloading.

Better yet, stop being part of the problem and switch over to OpenOffice.org.

Oh goody, more Beta code for the real world to test! !! Keep track of how may patches (issued as “Office Security Fixes”) will be forthcoming in the first few weeks after this piece of crap hits the streets. People will never learn, they just keep throwing money at Redmond!!!!
Are you smarter than a fifth grader? Wait, don’t answer that question, I already know the answer!!!
