I have had an iPhone since July and I love it, but these findings do not surprise me. I find the lack of textile feedback hinders not my speed but my accuracy. Also, the "help" provided by the iPhone which auto-completes words can sometime be less than helpful. But there are so many other good things about the phone that subpar typing accuracy is only a minor annoyance and I would still highly recommend the device.
