Microsoft Releases More Vista Stability, Reliability Updates

In early August Microsoft released a pair of performance and compatibility updates. Now they’ve released four (yes, four) more updates as we await Windows Vista SP1.
The first, KB941649, addresses “the compatibility, reliability, and stability of Windows Vista.” This type of vague description always makes me feel warm and fuzzy about an OS’s reliability. You can read the full description at the link, but the words “stability” and “reliability” are used a lot. Two interesting fixes are improved stability of wireless network services and shortened startup time.
The second is KB941600, which is a rollup of previous USB fixes.
The third is KB941651, which patches Windows Media Player 11.
The final update is KB941229, which is an update for Media Center.
We Say: As usual, if you are not experiencing problems with these issues currently, Microsoft recommends you wait until these are released via Windows Update or in SP1.

An OS waiting for an excuse to be needed by anyone. This article has been on this site for 16+hours - not ONE comment, not ONE!!!! After all, there is still no reason to upgrade to Vista, unless of course, you want to buy all new versions of your favorite programs or replace all your peripherals! This turkey (Vista) is definitely the biggest egg that MicroSux has laid since Windoze ME (or was Bob worse?). Businesses still have no reason to go to Vista (besides wasting time, money & productivity) until they are forced to go to Vista by MicroSux. Just another poor attempt by MicroSux to blackmail the captive business PC user community into making the coffers at MicroSux even more bloated than they already are…
