The total price might seem a little steep at first but if you really think about it its only 35 dollars an instrument. considering your paying 50 for a new controller that is being produced by the largest gaming industry on the planet. And you dont even need to play with a friend considering that rock band is going to feature career modes for every instrument. so yeah 140 might seem alot at first glance but its really not for someone who wants to experience the full band gameplay.

The colors are fundamentally in the same order as the guitar hero guitars. Green is on the very right, as most people are right handed. Red is on the very left. So at the start, you only need to focus on one thing with each hand. If they were next to eachother, the lineup wouldn't make sense. Then, as it gets harder, you focus on the middle ones, and then experts also use their foot (introducing a new limb = mastery).

So no, it shouldn't be anything other than what it is.

[...] Look, a next-gen game is $60. That means you’re being charged $140 for 4 toy instruments (and calling those drums an “instrument” at this point is a bit much). I don’t know off the top of my head what these things cost to produce, but I’m going to go out on a limb and bet that it’s a hell of a lot less than $140. Plus, you pretty much need friends who are playing to realize its potential, so you won’t be able to play this much in a year or two, when everyone’s moved on themselves.
