How to Fix the Red Rings of Death (RRoD) on the Xbox 360
By Alice Hill
RealTech News
Two guys from Brazil demonstrate how to fix the dreaded red rings of death on the Microsoft Xbox 360. Reminds me of the “color” TV we had growing up. Two whacks on the side of the set and you got color. Source: YouTube via 1Pstart.com

Bad Xbox, BAD!!!
I guess this is similar to blowing in your NES or NES games to get them to run.

Braddizzle, the towel trick does work quite sufficiently, my cousin has an xbox 360 and asked me if I could come round and check it out because he didn’t know what was going on (It was RROD) , I had seen the towel trick on the net so did that and now he hasn’t had a single problem occur for over a month

I brought my xbox 360 to work one day waiting on my IT department to get in. I had it in the car just cooking under the texas heat. I did not get a chance to hook up with IT but by the time I made it home and tried hooking it up again the RRoD was gone.

Take out all the wires from the back of your xbox but the power cable. Wrap your xbox in 2 towels and leave it on for 20 minutes. Then turn it off and connect up your Xbox then turn it back on then the RROD will be gone.
