I brought my xbox 360 to work one day waiting on my IT department to get in. I had it in the car just cooking under the texas heat. I did not get a chance to hook up with IT but by the time I made it home and tried hooking it up again the RRoD was gone.

Braddizzle, the towel trick does work quite sufficiently, my cousin has an xbox 360 and asked me if I could come round and check it out because he didn’t know what was going on (It was RROD) , I had seen the towel trick on the net so did that and now he hasn’t had a single problem occur for over a month

thomas it didnt work for you bcz ur an idiot i have had my 360 for nearly 3 years and i just recently got the RRoD 3 weeks ago i did the towel trick once and i havent had a problem since

I guess this is similar to blowing in your NES or NES games to get them to run.
