PS3 Reaches 1M milestone in Japan

Sony’s PS3 has finally reached the million unit mark in Japan after eight months of being in the Japanese market. Nintendo’s Wii took a mere two months to reach the same mark.

Current tally in Japan:

  • Nintendo Wii has sold 2.9M units since December 2, 2006
  • Sony PS3 has sold 1.01M units since November 11, 2006
  • Microsoft XBOX 360 has sold 420,705 units since December 2005
