Since Windows Vista has been released Microsoft has released the exciting Windows Hold’Em, 16 language packs for the Windows multi-language UI, Secure Online Key Backuip, and the Windows BitLocker Drive Preparation Tool. Not exactly what you would expect for your extra money, eh? Not only that, these were all released within days of the OS’ release. Well, today Microsoft responded to complaints over the lack of extras.
“We apologize for taking so long to provide a status update to customers,” Vista Ultimate Director Barry Goffe said. “Our goal is to provide the highest-quality, most secure and reliable offerings, and as a result we are continuing our work on these offerings.”
In a blog post complete with Microsoft’s apology for its silence, Goffe repeatedly stressed that delays had to do with ensuring product quality. Two extras, Windows DreamScene and the remaining 20 Language Packs, would be released by the end of the summer, he added. Source: BetaNews
We Say: OK, somehow those extra 20 Language Packs don’t exactly excite me either. They do say they plan to “delight” us over the next couple of years. Uh, huh. We’ll see.

Dreamscene? I thought that this was already released? I have it on my system. Is this just a Dreamscene addon called “Wake up, MS has ripped you off again”?
