CEOP Takes Down Pedophile Chat Room, Gets Leads on 700 More

I saw reports on the news about a ring of pedophiles being brought down and 31 children being rescued from harm. While I would like to think the hauled in 700 pedophiles, it appears the have leads on the 700 and have not announced anything concerning most of them because enquiries are still being made into them. But, they have done the big work and taken down the ‘Kids the Light of Our Lives’ chat room, a chat room being run from the home of 27 year old Timothy David Martyn Cox, who had 75,960 indecent and explicit images in addition to evidence that he had supplied 11,491 images to other site users. They then monitored and impersonated Timothy David Martyn Cox to get leads on up to 700 others, 200 in the UK, and, to date, 31 children have been rescued from abuse or positions of harm.
The last 10 months of this complex investigation has resulted in the co-ordination of law enforcement agencies from 35 different countries and their subsequent, ongoing investigations – intelligence from which indicates that there were more than 700 suspects worldwide. The UK branch of the investigation centers around 200 suspects, the majority of which are currently subject to active police enquiries at this time. Further information can not be released until these enquiries have concluded.
27 year old Timothy David Martyn Cox hosted the website from his home address in Buxhall, masquerading behind the online identity ‘Son_of_god.’ (1) When trading, he used the name ‘I_do_it’.
On receiving this information, specialist officers immediately began enquiries to trace the host, using a range of techniques and undercover online activity. Cox was located and subsequently arrested by officers from Suffolk Constabulary on September 28 2006. This allowed uncover officers from the CEOP Centre to infiltrate the room and gather valuable evidence.
In September last year, Gordon Mackintosh from Hertfordshire also became a key subject in the UK inquiry. The 33 year old attempted to resurrect ‘Kids the Light of our Lives’ following the Cox’s disappearance as Host. Officers from the CEOP Centre carried out extensive work to identify and locate the individual behind the usernames ‘silentblackheart and ‘lust4skoolgurls’. We Say: This is awesome! Lets hope they get the rest of these scumbags before they clean everything off of their computers. The CEOP had this to say to people like Cox and Mackintosh:

If those numbers are accurate, these pedophiles apparently went “undetected” for years! You don’t capture 30 child sex slaves and produces that much kiddie porn overnight…
The simple truth is most child molesters are never caught and any pedophile can swap kiddie porn over the internet undetected with complete anonymity… Only when it turns into a world wide mega porn site, do they do anything about it! If they were as aggressive as RIAA/MPAA, people would be busted for the first kiddie porn pic they ever downloaded!
Now on ARS, there is a news story in which NBC declares internet piracy worse then bank robbery and other violent crimes which leave many dead people! (They are serious about this) So it’s great that they saved the children and at least got some of the weirdos but it’s obviously not considered to be a very serious crime in our screwed up justice system… (not as serious as downloading an mp3)

It didn’t really mention where they got the 31 children they saved, but I didn’t get the impression they were all together or held by one person or group.
I agree on the RIAA/MPAA, maybe once they stamp out piracy, hehe, those people can start looking for pedophiles.

* please note : these chatrooms within WinMX and many other places can be set up by independant users, and are certainly NOT endorced by the WinMX group, if it is indeed where it was from.
chatroom inventions & room Names are not subject to scrutiny before it’s invention.
as an occassional file browser, all i can say is , thank god some have been busted, the username is not always an indication of what could be inside….and i have noticed an horrific amount of these disturbing files from some users - who like any other scum then joins my ignored list forever !
….this certainly won’t be the end of this story !

So let’s take this one step further…
Given that all pedophiles were once sexual victims when they were children, shouldn’t we put those 31 children in a database and track them? Maybe even give them life-long pyschological check-ups?
In no way, shape, or form am I defending any pedophile here. But, I find it interesting that everyone’s sympathy pours out to the 8 year old victim, and then 20 years later everyone will be outraged and demand the death of the victim/pedophile.
Oh right, why actually do something about the problem when you can just show-up for the stoning of the evil one.

Well, I guess it’s hard to see the pedophile as a victim, but you are right, they probably were a victim too. But, what would you do to track them? Look what they just went through. If they do, it should be keep from the children, so they don’t feel even more like a victim.

I hear your point. Even if you have a list of potential future pedophiles, what do you do with it. What CAN you do with it without getting sued for infringing on someone’s rights.
I think a trained and experienced therapist would be able to recognize signs of something not quite right. This of course would be many years later. Perhaps there are specific profile markers that would give law enforcement an indication of trouble.
Perhaps just having the data would slowly build actionable plans. Meaning, if it turns out that over 30% of the names on the list go on to be future pedophiles, then maybe there will be greater support for focusing on the list.

Pedophiles, also called child molestors and other things, are on ALL chat sites.
They take advantage of young children and subject them to awful abuse and
trauma.
There needs to be a worldwide definition of Pedophilia and a uniform punishment
for such activities.
I suggest removing the eyes and genitals of pedophiles and BRANDING the word
PEDO on their foreheads. In addition, I would outlaw the wearing of head bands.
This would accomplish several things :
1) No more looking at kids
2) No reason to wank, nor the ability to wank
3) Shorten these sick people’s lifespan.
Let the public choose what to do when they see a person with PEDO branded on their forehead.

HOW many children recovered? most EXCELLENT! poor little kids man, fuck THAT! the implications of this investigation and its subsequent results are quite stellar. these disgusting creatures have been corrupting childhood innocence into something nasty for far too long. normal=kids sexual curiosity; abnormal=filthy adults taking advantage of that innocent curiosity. in a nutshell, even if the child enjoys it, it is WRONG! there ARE those of us within the True Child Lover (TCL) community who are violently opposed to the tactics and actions of those who would dare to use a cute little child for their own sexual gratification; fact of it is, some of us are totally MILITANT about it and we are working actively to bring these violators of childhood innocence to justice. we have our own methods of doing this, but we are not above stealing the methods of others! anyone who is interested in furthering this cause is urged to contact me with insights and ideas as soon as possible. i have an ace up my sleeve with these freaks, and i plan to USE it, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
