Mvix MX760HD Adds Network File Management

After months and months of rumors and speculation, MvixUSA has tipped off the Geeks that the new “NDAS firmware”, version 1.27, is wrapping up beta and should be released this week for the Mvix MX-760HD. NDAS or “Network Direct Attached Storage” will finally enable network file management without having to hack the box (which some hackers have done to add this functionality).

Mvix users from US and Canada can request a license directly from MvixUSA at their informational page.

NDAS (Network Direct Attached Storage) is Ximeta’s patented technology which has been licensed and integrated in Mvix MX-760HD firmware to enable network file management. This functionality will allow users to transfer/delete/rename files from their PC to the internal drive of Mvix MX-760HD over a wired or wireless network.

If you are interested in this you many want to check out the TVIX Box HD M-4000PA and HD M-4100SH.

These units can be setup as an FTP server and can read from network shares out of the box and support full 1080i and 1080p HD content over the network.
