    Wait - the best Vista tip: Don’t buy it. Switch to Linux, in the long term, you’ll be MUCH happier.

    But thank you for satisfying the online requirement that every Vista article have a post suggesting I switch to Linux or OSX.

    Surprised that you consider these useful tips. Most can be already done with XP, and XP runs everything without “compatibility mode”. No thanks, I will stay with XP Pro and be happy that EVERYTHING works with it already.
