- This in my opinion is the very most important resource for web design. W3Schools provides online tutorials for various web design subjects. Tutorials available include: HTML/CSS, XML, browser scripting, server scripting, .NET and multimedia.
- This is a great way of choosing color schemes for you website. Choose from the following color schemes for your website: Monochromatic, Analogic, Analogic+, Complimentary, Split Complimentary, Triadic, Double Contrast. Great for people like myself that have a hard time telling which colors go well together.
- Accessibility is the most important factor in web design. Regardless of how great the design is or how great the content is; it doesn’t matter if your visitors can’t access the information. After choosing the colors you would like to use on your website from the HTML Color Code Combination Chooser it is a good idea to to test if your colors are accessible using this site. Very cool, and interactive!
- Rounded corners are all the rage now (thanks Web 2.0). Now you can round your corners using CSS and HTML without the use of Javascript or even having to code it yourself!
- Optimize your CSS code and improve readability.
- Web 2.0 is all the rage, get your fonts here!
- Not everyone uses IE, so it’s important to test your site on all of the major browsers. Now you can do this all at once on ONE site.
- Stock photography
- Free image hosting
- Programmers are to designer’s as cats are to dogs. Need a programmer? Find one here.
- Edit your photos music and videos online!

Another really good web design tool, is Me Too. It is a in browser web designer, with a drag and drop interface.
It is a new start up in beta, but it looks like it is going to be really good.
