Tribute in Golden Gate Park for James Kim

You may recall last year’s tragic events surrounding James Kim and family. Today there was a memorial service in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco for the CNet editor. Kati Kim, his widow, thanked the hundreds would attended the event, along with her supporters and the search-and-rescue teams involved.
The Kims were the focus of an intense manhunt and international media attention when they failed to arrive home in San Francisco after Thanksgiving. James Kim, 35, died of hypothermia in a mountain creek after walking more than 16 miles in search of help. Source: ABC News
We Say: It should be noted that Spencer Kim, James’ father, wrote a critical opinion piece in January in The Washington Post. He wrote that the rescue operation was “plagued by confusion, communication breakdowns and failures of leadership.”
Today, however, James’ sister Eva Kim offered gratitude to the agencies who aided the search. I must admit that following this tragedy, my wife and I argued over what the course of action we would take if we were in the same situation. It really makes you think, though we never came to an agreement.

Very sad story. Am I wrong, but did James Kim use to appear on the old Tech TV?
