Poll results: How often do you game?

It’s official: girls love games! Two thousand and fifty-four gadget lovin’ readers voted in GadgetCandy’s most recent poll. They’ve tallied the ballots and turned out some pretty interesting results on how often women game. Here’s what they had to say…
GadgetCandy’s results showed that 39 per cent of readers game daily, while another 33 per cent get their console kicks at least weekly. Just 19 per cent said that they rarely game and a mere nine per cent admit to never putting a manicured mitt near a gaming controller - pink or otherwise.
This is in line with a survey conducted for the new PSP game Lumines II. Their results revealed that the average woman spends three hours a week - or six-and-a-half days a year - playing on games consoles!
“We’ve long known that gaming isn’t only for boys. Or geeks for that matter,” says Jessamy Hawley from GadgetCandy.com, a lifestyle and technology website for women. “We’re celebrating the rise of the trendy girl gamer and the reality that many women have as many games and gaming consoles in their gadget wardrobe as they do stilettos in their closet.”
