Dell Opens a Second Life Store

Every time I hear about more things like this, like Reuters opening up a news bureau in Second Life or Big Brother expanding into it, I wonder if I should try getting into Second Life myself. Now Dell’s opened a store up in Second Life.
According to a virtual press conference held today in Second Life, Dell Island, an area inside the game that is officially licensed by the computer maker, now includes a retail store where people can purchase Dell computers without even leaving the game. Source: TG Daily
We Say: According to the article, the first person who purchased a PC in the virtual store would get the PC for free. I’m sure it’s too late for any of you. However, apparently the way it works, you can make the purchase without leaving the game.

Well, they certainly didn’t advertise it well. They had an invitation-only walkthrough, and that was that.
I don’t think they really made a lot of sales today, if any.
