Toshiba’s Freakish Bubble Display

Don’t they mean “bobble”?

Toshiba has developed a 6 pound giant freak helmet to give you a 360 view of your TV or video game. Aside from the fact that most TV is so awful that I do not want or need a 360 view, the only possible use for this to succeed will be pr0n.

    Six pounds isn’t light, but I’ve worn motorcycle helmets that come close. Maybe Toshiba will develop this idea further and lighten it up. Wasn’t clear if the idea was to create a virtual reality kind of thing ala 3d video spectacles or just a monocular vision kind of thing that wraps a front view all the way around.
