Google Completes YouTube Deal, Price is $1.65 Billion

Rumors were flying about this last Friday and over the weekend, and today, despite the normal “No Comment” over the last few days, Google completed the purchase of YouTube with a deal valued at $1.65 Billion. That’s Billion with a “B”.
The all-stock acquisition unites one of the Internet’s marquee companies with one of its rapidly rising stars. The price makes YouTube, a still-unprofitable startup, by far the most expensive purchase made by Google during its eight-year history. Source: Yahoo! News
