Toshiba’s Turn to Recall Sony Batteries

Toshiba is recalling batteries … and yes, they are Sony batteries. The recall consists of 340,000 batteries. However, the batteries will not catch fire or smoke, according to Toshiba.

Toshiba Corp. said on Tuesday it would replace about 340,000 laptop computer batteries made by Sony Corp. worldwide due to possible problems with recharging and transmission of electricity. Source: Yahoo! News

We Say: Hmmm … just problems with recharging and transmission of electricity, eh? Still, it’s Sony, the same manufacturer of the “flaming” batteries recalled by Apple and Dell. More good news for Sony.
