However, UMDs were doomed from the beginning. Why would I pay $10+ for the UMD when I can buy the DVD and rip the movie to my mediastick (or 5 movies!!)? Unless they would have found a way to make and sell these things for the cost of a DVD rental, there was no way they could have been successful. C'mon Sony, we're not stupid.
