Microsoft’s Argo … More Than Just an MP3 Player?

Is This Argo?

Interest and speculation continues to wax about the rumored Microsoft media player. The Seattle Times has some insider information about the device … including the fact it’s more than just a single device.

What’s being developed is actually a complete line of Xbox-branded digital-media products, including a device that plays media, a software media player and an online media service.

The project, or at least part of it, is referred to internally at Microsoft by the code name Argo — a reference to the huge warship used by the hero Jason in Greek mythology. Source: Seattle Times

We Say: What the Seattle Times doesn’t explicitly say, but Wired implies, is that the device also play games, sort of a portable XBox. BTW, besides the Greek mythology reference to the Argo, to me the Argo is also the ship in the anime Star Blazers (or Space Cruiser Yamato, in Japan). :-)
