Nintendo DS Lite Launch Event in New York

So how long before my wife, hopelessly hooked on Super Mario Brothers DS and Yoshi Touch and Go, asks for a Lite to replace her DS? Of course, honestly, she’s actually developed tendinitis by playing so much. enGadget has a series of pictures (here) of the DS Lite Launch event in New York.
Those who arrived early were rewarded for their devotion. The first 100 people in line who bought a Nintendo DS Lite received a free carrying case and a copy of the top-selling Brain Age(TM): Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day. Some fans arrived dressed as their favorite Nintendo characters, which added to the atmosphere of fun and community. Many people brought along their original Nintendo DS systems and engaged in collegial wireless game matches. The event kicked off Nintendo’s “Summer of Lite,” a season-long celebration of the hot new DS Lite hardware.
Nintendo DS Lite is less than two-thirds the size of the original and more than 20 percent lighter. Users can adjust its luminous screens to four different brightness settings for picture-perfect game play in any light setting. It is priced as low as $129.99 at retailers throughout the United States, and it comes in stylish Polar White with a raised DS logo on the cover. Source: Video Game Generation
We Say:Well, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with her current DS, but maybe the lighter weight of the DS will help my wife’s tendinitis?
