Electronic Home Of The Year 2006

The 2006 Electronic Home of the Year has been announced by Electronichouse.com. Custom electronics dealers submitted their showcase of gadgets and gizmos in an Olympic award style competition. Gold, Silver or Bronze went to the winners, as well as Honorable Mentions. The cost of these beauties ranged from $20,000 - $250,000+ (US Dollars). The winning home, this year, had a computer generated female face and voice Avatar, named Cleopatra, which treated the occupants to a Science Fiction-like feel.
What can you expect from an Electronic House Home of the Year grand prize winner? For starters, it has to be a great house—one whose occupants don’t like leaving and always look forward to returning. It must have innovative home technology. In fact, it should have high-tech conveniences throughout, including great audio and video; a home theater or two; lighting, heating and ventilation control; and quite likely, a control system that allows for easy operation of anything by anyone from anywhere.

We say: WOW, I gotta get me one of these! Not only is the Grand Prize winner awesome, but I would take any of the lowly runner ups any-day! How about a Bowling Alley in the basement, or maybe a dance floor and night club feel in your home. It is all here! Now I just need a home big enough to stuff all these cool things into! Oh any the funds to remodel, Geeze!
