Now Be On The Lookout For ZangoBar

No, it’s not a new candy bar, it’s new adware. According to the Seattle Times 180Solutions has acquired HotBar, another adware maker “trying” to clean up their act.
Bellevue-based 180solutions, which makes software commonly known as adware, has acquired HotBar of New York for an undisclosed amount of money. As part of the announcement, 180solutions will be renamed after its consumer brand: Zango.

Personally I think Zango + HotBar would have made a nice candy bar sounding kind of name like- ZangoBar.
Adware is an application that users download to their computer to get free content. The application monitors what they are doing online to deliver relevant advertising. In the
past, make that present, Zango and other companies have been lumped together with spyware, which works similarly, but is typically installed on a computer without permission.“Through this merger, we are on path to continue expanding into other forms of content. There’s no reason why there shouldn’t be millions of items monetized by Zango,” he said.
We Say: Sure there’s a reason, it’s called user experience and you guys try to ruin it for everybody. The only people who want things “monetized by Zango” are employees of 180Solutions and now HotBar. Just ask your former employee.
