Obviously these aren’t the brightest people in the world, even without taking their crimes into account. Two teens were charged with arson in 17 fires in Montgomery County, MD, after bragging about it on MySpace.com. The two 17-year-olds were schoolmates; names have not been released because they are juveniles.
Additionally, in South Carolina, investigators received leads from the online profiles of five teenage boys, charged this week in a case of church vandalism.
From January to April, the fires damaged stores, vehicles, a bowling alley and two school buses. Investigators got a tip to check out Myspace, and they found photos and descriptions.
Officials in South Carolina said they also got some help solving a crime from Myspace.com, Greenville television station WYFF reported. Source: TurnTo10.com
We Say: Well, ya know, that MySpace.com … no one really reads it, right? What we’re they thinking? ‘Course, I’m glad they were caught.
