Downside - You have to validate Windows or it will NOT install. Does anyone have an opinion on that or better still a work around.

Using it as we speak.Pages load faster. The whole top of the browser is really cluttered, but the gel effect is OK and the tabs are nice but not exactly a breakthrough. WIll kick the tires some more.

Didn't like the verification process on MY OS during installation but feel like this is more secure than IE6.

It's actually pretty good so far, however the ActiveX control now asks more questions, which could be a problem to rookie user since they don't really know what's going on *-)

Memory usage is good too, compare to the old IE6 (no tab), and memory doesn't add up like Firefox does.

Should get used to the ClearFont Type display.

Interesting that (AFAIK) the http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx website loads perfectly in the current version of Firefox. The site does tricky things without using ActiveX. Hey, if Microsoft can forgo ActiveX, then who can't? And it bodes well for Internet Explorer. I'm going to give this second BETA of IE7 a shot. What have I got to lose but my hard drive?
