Tell Them You Have an STD with inSPOT, the Annonymous Online STD Reporting Service

Maybe I’m old and jaded, or just too old to do more than stare at a new online service called “inSPOT” that lets you notify sex partners by an annonymous and very edgy-looking email greeting card, to let them know that oh by the way, I have an STD. On the one hand annonymous notification could save someone’s life, but on the other, this method seems like a perfect target for scary hoaxes, or just outright disbelief. Plus, it eerily resembles the logo and marketing for the rip-off inPulse pay as you go calling service from Verizon. Coincidence?

Our Question: If you got one of these, would you even believe it?
Alice Adds: I love the use of the failed wireless Palm Pilot as the communication device in the graphic. Whoever designed this particular inSPOT card wasn’t up on tech!

I know. The idea was good but the execution is tricky and so is the timing with spam overload and viruses and on and on.
