Levi Strauss Redwire DLX iPod-Ready Jeans

You may remember the Burton Audex Snowboard Jacket that I reported on last year … the one that allowed you to use your iPod and / or cell phone on the slopes? But that’s so specialized. What iPod users would really like is something for everyday … something like iPod-enabled jeans. And Levi Strauss announced them today at Macworld.

Denim giant Levi Strauss said on Tuesday it had designed jeans compatible with the iPod music player, featuring a joystick in the watch pocket to operate the device.

The Levi’s RedWire DLX Jeans for men and women, which will be available this fall, also have a built-in docking cradle for the iPod and retractable headphones. Pricing was not immediately available. Source: Reuters

We Say: I wish I could have found some pictures, but everywhere I looked, no pricing or pictures. Still, they’re not due out until fall, so it’s no wonder. I wonder how many iPods will end up in the laundry with these jeans, though :-)
