Blackberry Back in Action? NTP’s Patents Expected to be Rejected
By Sean Brody

The USPTO has called RIM and NTP and told each of them that the NTP patents will almost definitely be rejected. This uncoventional move by the Patent Office places the onus on Judge Spencer to either throw the case out of court or at the very least put off further arguments until the USTPO has had time to rule on the patents in question.
We Say: Well its about time! This lawsuit over patents that should never have been granted has gone on far to long already. The time to let RIM get back to making Crackberries has long past.

“almost definetly”
Yeah, that IS almost “definitely”!
Alice, misspellings hurt credibility. Cute and not credible is no way to make it on the ‘net.

What’s wrong with using spellcheck? Wrong word in context is bad enough, but misspellings are unforgivable.

Our spell check plug-in broke. I have asked contributors to check everything but sometimes we miss something. But that’s the beauty of the web - we can correct a mistake. And I will remind contributors again to double-check spelling.

Dave says:
Whether the patents for NTP are justified or not are up to the courts to decide. However, let’s not forget that Xerox thought it could take on Palm and lost. It is not over until the lady sings.
