The Sager 9890 looks physically the same and shares many characteristics, being a Clevo manufactured unit. With the configurator on Sager's site I came up with US$3583 for their highest specification. The Metabox can be configured higher than that Sager model and, yes, you spend more moolah for more performance... It's a pity that the bragging rights to the fastest this or that only lasts such a short time! In a year we'll all be laughing at the fuss we made about all this...:)
Cheers,
Martin

Sager has a comparable notebook http://www.sagernotebook.com/pages/notebooks/product.cfm?ProductType=9890 that's cheaper, but this one I'm linking to only has the one hard drive, but you can add the second, I didn't do a side by side comparison, but, I bought mine almost two years ago, with a pentium 4 3.4 ghz, 1 gig memory, mirrored 60 gig drives, it has the 7 in 1 card reader, three usb ports, firewire, 17" widesreen that looks a lot bigger than that one, dvd writer, etc. The only bad thing with mine is it gets hot because of the mirrored drives and the fans are kinda loud, but I've helped both those situations with one of those laptop trays with the fans. I'll definately be getting another in a couple years, heck this one is still fast as a desktop I just bought, but I doubt I will get the mirrored drives, just one big one. ;)

Never seen that site before but they have some interesting stuff like that Anextek smartphone. Hey, did you see those guys had RealTech News as the second best tech blog? I knew third place wasn't good enough for Alice but first is best, eh?:)
Yous should mention that on the site! Be proud! Yous deserve it!
