On Nov. 18, the Sony said that it planned to release an updated uninstall program for their XCP DRM, as the first uninstaller left your system vulnerable. My, how time flies. It’s been about 3 weeks, but according to several news reports the new uninstaller was expected to be released today. I have gone to the Sony BMG web pages concerned with this issue and have confirmed that indeed, they have an updated uninstaller available.

The new uninstaller is available here. According to the website, running the new uninstaller will also eliminate any vulnerabilities left by the first uninstaller, if you previously used it.

We Say: Anyone want to volunteer to be the first one to try this, after seeing the results of their first uninstaller?
