You just have to love humanity sometimes. We have been covering the ridiculous Xbox 360 fury, as the shortage first drove buyers onto auction powerhouse, eBay. And then the waves of greed that occurred when sellers realized they could jack the price to close to $2,000 and counting. (Some auctions are listed at $6,500, but we are seeing units move in the $1,600 live bidding range.) And now…
Enter the Scam Artists
Here’s a guy selling the box. That’s right, not “the box” as in “the unit,” but the cardboard box that covers the unit. It can be yours for a mere $475. Check it out before eBay takes the link down. And if you are an idiot intending to pony up some obscene amount of money on an Xbox 360 today, please don’t be that big an idiot and wind up with a costly piece of cardboard.

I don’t get what the fuss is about … but then, I haven’t owned a console since Super Nintendo.
I’d really like to know who the hell is shelling out $1500 for a console. For that much you could build yourself a very respectable PC. There’s no way it’s the under-18 crowd. And I’d like to think that the 18+ crowd has more sense. Makes me wonder what the PS3 and NRev releases are going to look like…
