Google Base Flooded by Porn

Just days after being launched, Google Base is apparently already overloaded with porn. The above screenshot was about as wholesome as I could make it to show the extent of what is going on, but Google Base has quickly gone from being a “Craigslist killer” that also threatened newspapers and classified ad services all over the world to now also a killer porn platform. Note: Follow the following links with care.
The day had to come: Google is now hosting porn movies, as searches for porn or xxx reveal (merchants uploaded them to Google Base in abundance)…. I wonder if the Google Base editors considers these bad items, and will delete them? I wouldn’t necessarily expect that to happen – if somone searches for “porn”, after all, it’s very likely someone is looking for porn too. Source: Google Blogscoped

Not surprising at all. Right after it went live, I posted about it here. I noticed a few personals, but I didn’t indicate how “explicit” some were. They were personals, not ads like the above, but it was inevitable.
