Gross! Thumb-Shaped USB Thumb Drive

By Alice Hill
RealTechNews

We don’t usually cover gross tech as a category, but this one definitely fits the bill. For those who prefer the term “thumb drive” to mean one of those USB-based keychain Flash memory storage units we all know and love, why not step it up a notch and go with a real thumb? Ok, the thumb isn’t real, but it is shaped to resemble a human thumb and guaranteed to catch everyone’s attention at your next meeting or presentation. Price: $89 for 128MB.

Dang.. that looks GOOD. Way too pricey for the size tho. If I could find one of those fake rubber hands that the thumb looked real, I’d rig one of these up myself! :)

A $15 flash drive sold for ninty bucks. That is the middle finger, right at the customer. What does $90 buy today, about a gig. Even at a gig, $89 is too much. All hail gimmick captain, the marketing grandmaster. He boldly takes cash from those who obviously have too much, and is a true hero.

I make those $6000 love dolls. With spare silicone we make not so realistic but just as fun thumb drives.
