After a delay from October, the 770 is here.
Nokia is now shipping its Linux-based 770 Internet Tablet in Europe. It is not yet available in other regions, though.
It is available in twelve countries, and Nokia isn’t charging the same for it in all of them. The price ranges from 349 Euros to 369 Euros.

According to the website Internet Tablet Talk, which is devoted to the 770, it will be released on November 10 in the U.S.
To refresh your memory on this device, it has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth but no cellular capabilities. Also, according to the manual (which you can download here) the only BT device you can use is a cellular phone … for a connection when you’re not near an access point. Text entry is thus limited to either an on-screen keyboard or handwriting recognition … which, as a touch-typist, is bound to annoy me.
We Say: I’m not sure that the audience for this device will be very large. The price of laptops continues to fall (see this Black Friday rumor at CNN regarding Wal-Mart) and except for the additional weight, I’d much rather use a full-featured laptop than this device if the prices are close.
