In response to statements from the South Korean Fair Trade Commission, Microsoft has stated that if a different version of Windows is required for South Korea, they may have to pull it completely or at least delay new releases for the Korean market.
Microsoft has threatened to withdraw its Windows software from South Korea if the country’s antitrust agency orders it to unbundle its MSN Messenger and Windows Media Player from the operating system.
