War at eHub

By Mark Evans
Contributing Writer, RealTechNews

What’s Union Square Ventures analyst Charlie O’Donnell got against Emily Chang? In a rant on his blog, O’Donnell slams eHub as lacking value because it doesn’t offer enough insight into Web- based services that “solved a problem for thousands or millions of people in a way that anyone who didn’t know what Ruby, RSS, or open source was would adopt”. In declaring that he plans to unsubscribe from eHub, O’Donnell seems to declare Emily Chang’s blog is useless because it does little to provide him with information on Web-based services that could be the next investment home run.

We Say: O’Donnell needs to give his head a shake. To publicly criticize a blog that offers a snapshot into the world of Web 2.0 is ridiculous. It insinuates eHub has little value when, in reality, it’s a great tool to find cool services and spark new ideas.
