Got this by email from a reader:

NAME: Brian Witowski
I would like to mention a program in the greater Phoneix area called AZSTRUT (Arizona Students Recycling Used Technology). Drop-off points include any of the 22 valley Data Doctors stores. We take computers, printers, cell phones, fax machines, stereos, monitor etc.

As the name implies, the devices go to various educational facilities where students use them for educational purposes and fundraising.

For a list of Data Doctors stores, go to www.datadoctors.com and enter your zip code.

Brian Witowski
Data Doctors #242
Anthem, AZ

I usually go straight to the source and donate my old cell phones to the local women's shelter. This way I know the right people are getting the equipment.
