					<description>Uhh...this is a cool little applet, but it doesn't ACTUALLY show the "digging straight down" result. It seems to show the result of what would happen if you dug PARALLEL TO THE EARTH'S AXIS. (I live in North Carolina and ended up off the coast of Chile instead of drowning in the middle of the Indian Ocean!) My six-year-old's toy globe helped me figure it out.

(Yes, I have too much time on my hands, apparently.)</description>
