GasBuddy.com Finds Lowest Gas Prices in Your Area

Most of us are reeling over gas prices, but luckily there is a portal called GasBuddy.com that not only finds the lowest gas in you area, but charts trends, locates stations, and even lets you compare three cities if you want to see how your city compares to other places in the country.
You can even add a little javascript code on your own website for live pricing updates (I did one for San Francisco). Or add a quick search box by zip code. I tested it on all the zip codes I could remember (try 10005 for a heart attack) including Savannah and San Francisco and Phoenix and NYC. Seems like a useful tool.

I plugged in my zip, the lowest price is at a gas station 2 block from my house, (02129, Charlestown MA. $3.09)The site seems to be updated by the user, so those who have no help for your area should submmit an entry for the next person that browses by.

I have used the GasBudy to beat down the gas price for past months. The algorithm is much more complicated than just post the lowest gas price. You have go short the lowest gas to the highest gas price line …
