I might have been tempted a couple of years ago when I seemed to stop playing PC games, but with WinXP SP2, WindowBlinds and ObjectDock+ my PC setup has been just how I want it (touch wood) for ooh, months and months now. Is Steve counting on people disaffected with Windows making the cut-price switch? Me, I look at the minimal number of USB slots on the Mac mini and I think, "Naaaaaaah".

Has it come down to this?

Jobsy, say it ain't so!

If 25% of iPod buyers converted to even Mac Minis, it would be something. Heck, if each iPod buyer would just purchase 30 songs per, wow!

Where is that iPod halo? Kinda fading.....

I bought a Mac Mini a few weeks ago to act as a mini server for my ibook, sharing an external firewire drive, a source code repository, and its dvd burner. It works very nicely -- it's tiny and very quiet.

I read it as the keyboard and mouse are optional. However, it does need to be one of their pre-configured units.

[Gizmateer Note] The Keyboard and Mouse ARE optional however they are part of the deal if you decide to return the unit (no restocking fee and 30 day test period instead of 14 day restocking period).
