Hot or Not? Gear Shift Cufflinks
Not sure if we have ever covered auto-themed fashion, but we couldn’t resist.
Here’s the Gear-box cuff link.
“Tickle your fancy with this set of gearbox cufflinks. Step it up at ‘D’ gear; go for retreat at ‘R’ gear; or just simply park yourself at ‘P’ gear. Now, business and pleasure do mix after all.” $55.34 Source: Can.com.sg
Alice asks:
First, would anyone buy these?
And isn’t it more macho to use a standard shift and not the automatic shown here? Automatic shifting? Come on….

Ann says:
Um.. I have to say I know many men who would love to receive such a gift. Haha.. Actually, that might not be funny. Check the cuffs at your local car dealerships. They will be sporting them in no time!!
ps- I will be forwarding this blog to some friends..(though I hope it does not prompt them to buy the cufflinks..)

I personally wouldnt wear them but I am sure i know epople that would.
And yes, a stick is more manly than an automatic. Someone should get fired for that glaring error in their design…
Sticks hasten back to the days of true muscle cars, not the rice burners kids use today.
:p

Manual is definitely more macho. Automatic is like a go-kart.

That was my first thought … I guess it’d be a neat buy for the “car buff who has everything” though.

That’s a great idea, but he woudl want a manual shift version too, don’t you think?

Reg says:
If you look closely, you’ll see that the shifter is actually a modern automatic w/ manual mode. (note the + and -), on the left side of the stick.

Alice says:
Reg - actually I did notice that. My car has one but I never use it - feels like a lame way to have an standard when we all know you went automatic - but then again I did use it once of twice and it was fun. Not sure if that qualifies.

Reg - no clutch, no manual shift and that’s that.

If the “automatic” shifters aren’t your style, what about a set of these Gear Shift Cufflinks. They don’t have the actualy shifter, but they’re still pretty cool.
