Terrorist-Proof Lighting Illuminates Without Power

William Chee
Contributing Writer, RealTechNews

Terrorist-Proof LightingAmerican Environmental Products has developed a bomb-proof bulb that glows in the dark when the power has been turned off ,even if the bulb breaks. The shatter-proof Glow-Lux™ Emergency Afterglow Lighting is a new, patented fluorescent light bulb technology. The bulbs remain glowing for up to 12 hours after a loss of power, providing emergency illumination in low-light and no-power conditions. Even if the bulb is broken in the event of an explosion, the glass pieces will continue to emit light, maximizing this emergency light bulb to its greatest potential. The bulbs combine a newly patented proprietary scotopic phosphor blend with a non-radioactive after-glow phosphor blend that provides illumination, helping the human eye adapt more quickly to sudden low-light conditions in an emergency power outage.

Why do you always copy the article into the first comment? It’s not really a comment on the story if it IS the story is it.

Why does this article have to be titled using the word Terrorist? How often does the power go out as a result of terrorism? Why not Lightning Storm Proof? Hurricane Proof? Stop giving the terrorists power over you.

They used terrorist in the title as a marketing trick. Everyone knows that your product will sell better if you exploit the thousands of americans who died on 9/11.

Well murdered or not, it was a great marketing ploy… A great tool to SCARE ‘em into buying. Would sell even better if you said: “Kills germs AND prevents terrorism!”
