RSVP Reading, A New Way To Read eBooks On Your Cell

By David Ponce

If you’ve ever tried to read a book on your cellphone, you probably know how much of a pain that can be. You continually have to scroll, and well, after a while, it just gets agonizingly tedious.

Well, that problem could be solved with Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP). Instead of getting the words in a nice straight line, this software flashes them at you in sequence. You can set the speed, pause and rewind. While describing it like this makes it sound banal, there is an online version for you to try, here.

If, afterwards you feel the same elation and joy I did when I first tried, you can also download a piece of software called BuddyBuzz, which goes right to your cellphone, and allows you to download hundreds of news articles and read them with RSVP. For now, it’s free, so enjoy.
