Proving that sometimes the best gadgets do not need batteries (sometimes), comes this great space-saving Bottle Opener/Fridge Magnet. Made of stainless steel with non-scratch magnetic back. Now you won’t have to use your teeth when you can’t find the opener.
Price: $33

would be interesting item…if it worked –looks like the leverage would pop the magnet off the fridge before popping off the bottle cap. N how many capped beverages do NOT twist off these day? Cans?
This item is an example of “wolfpack bloggery” — takes several punches to get to the original source having been reported by several other techblogs first.

Hmmm…$33 for a bottle opener. It has a nice sleek modern design, but for less than a tenth of that you can get an old fashioned bottle AND CAN opener fridge magnet —also stainless — at most any grocery store. Mine has worked fine for more years than I can remember. Haven’t lost it yet.

y’know, I’ve got one of those little tools that punches a triangular hole in a can. We called it a church key. Used to use it for beer cans - had to punch two holes in it, one smaller for air. Other end is flattened and works for bottles.
Now (beer) cans have pop tops (haven’t you noticed?) and most, well nearly most bottles have caps that’ll twist off.
If I come across a can without a pop-top, or a bottle without a twist-off, I got this church key with a magnet somewhere in the drawer. If I can’t find it, I’ve also got a hand cranked can opener (that removes the lid) and it has a hook cut from it that’ll also open a bottle… But it won’t open a drink can - the tops are to recessed! Then I use a small kitchen knife….

I have a really cool magnetic bottle opener. The DeCap-N-Catcher bottle opener uses high-powered rare earth magnets to stick to any flat, steel surface. Like the “beer fridge” or just a refrigerator that may have some beer in it… This unique 5×7 plaque bottle opener removes the cap off your bottle and works like magic to instantly catch it. The magnets are strong enough to hold up a full 22oz bottle. It costs around $25.00 but it’s a cool gadget! It works grate for tailgating. Sometimes the best gadgets do not need batteries. For more information you can see it at www.FoodZing.com
I did some plagiarism from there web page but they described there bottle opener best and I love the two we have, one in the garage and one outside by the barbeque.
