These dorms were build in the middle of the 20th century before people really had electronic devices and because of this, there are only about 4 plugs per room (2x2 outlets). I'm finding it pretty impossible to run all my electronic stuff off of these (hence why my electric shaver sits below my monitor). It definitely doesn't help that I have some of those annoying plugs that use up more than their fair shair of space. I could definitely use one of those in my dorm room.
