It is a nice looking app for all the cubicle dwellers!

Now if only people and sites would realize that facebook is blocked on many more networks than twitter and when the link to the facebook api from say, oh, a blog, that the blog will not load very well without repeated refresh attempts!

*cough* *hint* *cough*

I've never worked in an office but a spreadsheet sounds a little far off to me... I've been in lots of offices from the DMV to the managers office at work and every time I've been allowed to see the screen, it's always been some database application with an open record which is the reason for going to the office to talk to the person.

It's never been a spreadsheet!

Don't think you're undetected, though -- the network police at your company can easily see where you're going on the Internet, no matter what app you use as a front-end. Plus, if your company's web filter blocks Twitter access, this app won't work for you.

Avoiding the sad commentary that widespread use of this might make about today's office workers, I'll say that it's strange that my work blocks access to Facebook, MySpace, LiveJournal, and other "social networking" sites, but allows Twitter access.
