		<description>Uhh...this is a cool little applet, but it doesn&#039;t ACTUALLY show the &quot;digging straight down&quot; result. It seems to show the result of what would happen if you dug PARALLEL TO THE EARTH&#039;S AXIS. (I live in North Carolina and ended up off the coast of Chile instead of drowning in the middle of the Indian Ocean!) My six-year-old&#039;s toy globe helped me figure it out.

(Yes, I have too much time on my hands, apparently.)</description>
