Samsung’s New 5.2 Megapixel "Anycall" Phone

The gang at Gizmodo are going wild over at CeBIT (you bastards!) but at least we can get a glimpse at the technical action going down in Hanover Germany this week. First up, is a 5.2 megapixel phone from Samsung, called the Anycall phone (shouldn’t that be AnyPic or something that says camera?) Samsung is on fire lately, with giant LCD displays, my own 2 favorite flat panel monitors, and now a cameraphone that is getting serious in the photography department. True, the unit looks too bulky and camera-like for a phone, but so nice to see the picture-taking quality ramp up.

My question: do you take pictures with your phone as often as you used to? I know that I stopped some time ago and now it is only an afterthought.

Interesting. The only problem is the way that a lot of people treat their cell phones. I guess, though, that if you spend that much money on your phone, you're going to try harder not to drop it ;)

I don't see how you can avoid dropping aphone compared to dropping a camera. One is just more drop-able.

A lot of people drop their phones because they try to dial and hold the phone with one hand.
